Intimidation and threats

Intimidation creates fear through presence, implication and unpredictability: punching walls, breaking your belongings, standing over you, driving fast, displaying weapons, or threats about what would happen if you left. Once fear is established, the threat rarely needs repeating — a look or a tone of voice can be enough.
